Fated?So many paths to follow.
Shall I go east, west, north or south? Or shall I walk my own road?
I have many trenches to dig and fill and flood.
Many bridges to build and cross and burn.
Thousands of feet have pressed against this dirt before I.
Hundreds have stood, waiting, at the crossroads at which I find myself, wondering which road to take, which world to take by storm.
I am no different, and in no way the same.
I wait here for a celestial sign, a giant flashing neon arrow, or a leprechaun that runs madly after the thief of its gold, in the direction to which my feet should step next.
I mistakenly follow Fate, to find my destiny.
But Fate is the Stalker. It follows you like a deranged fan and will always find you when least you suspect it. It takes on many numerous forms, changing subject to its will, and yours.
You cannot escape it, no matter which direction your feet take you.
I stand at the crossroads that is the middle of my compass,
I close my eyes and spin spin
Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
